5) YaST frontend tool for Zypper

YaST stand for Yet another Setup Tool is the graphical frontend tool of Zypper packages manager for openSUSE & SUSE Enterprise Linux. YaST is tools that provides a consistent method of installing, upgrading and removing software on your system.

5a) Install YaST on openSUSE & SUSE

YaST is available in distribution official repository, so we can easily install by running below commend on terminal.

[openSUSE & SUSE]
$ sudo zypper in yast2

5b) Usage of YaST

Some basic usage.

• Navigate to Menu and search yast then launch it. To install/remove software click Software Management
• To Add/Remove Repository click Configuration >> Repositories >> Add
• Right click package to install/reinstall or remove it.
