3) Add GNOME Shell Extensions

Still you can avail lots of GNOME shell desktop extensions to make your system easier by adding more GNOME Shell Extension. How to do that ? Simply go to extensions.gnome.org and click the extension you want to install. You can activate/deactivate the extension by clicking on/off button.

4) Configure RPMFusion Repos

Fedora ships with official repositories & components which will not ship with any non free softwares. RPMFusion is a software repository, providing add-on packages & essential software for Fedora distribution such as multimedia codes.

# Adding RPMFusion Free repo #
daygeek@2daygeek [~]$ sudo rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-23.noarch.rpm

# Adding RPMFusion Non-Free repo #
daygeek@2daygeek [~]$ sudo rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-23.noarch.rpm

5) Install Media Codecs

Entertainment is one of the important things for everybody now a days, due to some reason multimedia codecs are not included in Fedora Official repository archive but you can install by adding RPMFusion repository, check Step-4.

  3. Hi Getting an error with the adobe flash area

    sudo rpm –import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-adobe-linux
    error: /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-adobe-linux: import read failed(2).

  4. Please remove Fedy and its kin, Fedy is malware/spyware and it also overwirites core fedora files

  6. Dropbox is a good service for sync. Arent you concerned about all the cloud hacks these days? Have you tried Binfer? Here’s about direct file sharing

I started using Redhat years ago, RH5 i think. didn’t know anything about computers or linux. lost track of Redhat after Cedora Core started using the unity desktop. hated that. went a few years using Mint, Ubuntu, and they are all great os’s, but i decided to give Fedora a try again, with 23. installed it, not crazy about the workstation version, found spins, and here i am on 23MATE-compiz d.e. a bit of a challenge getting it to install smoothly into ubuntu bootloader. however i now have 6 os’s running out of ubuntu bootloader, and this is probably going to be my favorite. Fedora rocks again, thanks to the Spins, and your handy little treatment of it. Great Fedora site, thanks much for all your efforts.

      Nice to hear your words. Fedora also good distro rpm based system. I’m using Fedora more than 3 years, still loving to play most of the time with Fedora…) Keep rocking, hands of to Open-Source…)
