Fedora 25 upgrade made easy, like how we are upgrading our smartphone now a days
As you may already know about Fedora graphical upgrade via Gnome software because Fedora project pushed the GUI upgrade since Fedora 24 release (Graphical upgrade has been pushed after a month through GNOME Software).
It’s a simple way to upgrade your fedora system from one major version to another major version, like how we are upgrading our smartphone now a days. Here i’m going to show you, how to upgrade Fedora 25 from Fedora 24 through Gnome software.
Install available updates
Install available updates on your system up by firing the below command on terminal.
[Update system packages to latest version] $ sudo dnf update [System Reboot] $ sudo reboot
Finally reboot the system.
Launch graphical upgrade
After reboot, you will get notification from Gnome software Fedora 25 upgrade is available for installation. Just click the notification or launch the gnome software utility then click the
Once the update finished, the system rebooted one more time and came back to the Fedora 25 login screen. See the below screenshot, Wayland is a default display server. You have option to choose X11 too.
