Top-10 things to do after installing Ubuntu 15.10 to make user friendly

Ubuntu 15.10 was out. we have already prepared article for Ubuntu upgrade from 15.04 to 15.10. Also we prepared article for fresh installation of Ubuntu 15.10. It’s not enough to make your Desktop as user friendly. We have to tweak & adjust some settings and install additional software’s to make your Desktop easier as well as better performance for more user friendly.

1) Check for updates

Make sure your system upto date. How to check and do ? It’s very simply, you can do by hitting Unity Dash button on your Desktop and type software updater then launch the application to check for software updates. It will check for available updates and show you how much MB/KB will be downloaded. If you want to see, what are the packages will be upgraded, just expand the Arrow Mark which will show you list of packages to be downloaded. Hit Install Now button to install the updates.

Alternatively, we can do this via command line.

# Updating packages to latest version #
daygeek@2daygeek [~]$ sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
