Elementary OS 0.3.2 Release notes & Upgrade steps

Elementary project proudly announced the general availability of Elementary OS 0.3.2 and code name Freya, on December 09, 2015. After just a few months, they are announce a minor upgrade for elementary OS Freya! This new version 0.3.2 mainly focused around solving some issues folks have had with UEFI, SecureBoot also updated all the softwares to latest version & brings new features. As per Elementary OS blog updated they have reached 5.3 million downloads till now and still counting.

Freya 0.3.2 ISO images completely rewritten compare with previous version of Freya 0.3.1. They have throughly tested these new builds on 64-bit (U)EFI, and BIOS machines, with and without Internet, with SecureBoot and legacy boot, and everything is gone fine and there is no GRUB boot error message identified.

There was some issues on Elementary OS installation on language except English and Spanish. They have plan to include additional 22 languages with Elementary OS installation pack. They have fixed some minor visual issues with dark apps and refined shadows on windows, the panel, and a number of other places. We have to wait until the new release of Elementary OS with these fixes.

Note : 1) Don’t forget to take backup of your important/valuable data. If something goes wrong we will install freshly and restore the data.

2) How to Upgrade Elementary OS to latest version

Use the below commands to upgrade your system from Elementary OS 0.3.1 to 0.3.2.

# Update all the packages to latest version and OS #
$ sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
